Elections are test of maturity for Angola

According to D. Zacarias Kamwenho, “there is a political will that these elections are a test of our maturity,” pointing out that this “is an opportunity in the world recognize that Angola has forced a walk after the war.”
Speaking to journalists in Fatima moments before the start of the religious ceremonies of the Pilgrimage of Migrant, the Archbishop of Lubango remember that democracy in Africa “is still in footsteps of children,” and that Angola is no exception.

Zacarias Kamwenho.
Questionado by journalists on whether the church believes that the first election to be held in that country after the war will be free and democratic, the archbishop claims it difficult to respond when it comes to freedom. But ensure that the elections “are the best possible for Angola and for the region.”
“The belief that there may be a miracle, either of the other parties see that there is no more war in Angola”, stressed D. Zacarias, which has been recognized “with interest, enthusiasm and recognition that the Portuguese give to Angola.”
Assuming it is “happy” to be in Fatima, the Archbishop of Lubango want to leave the pilgrims words of encouragement and incentive. “Young people must be protagonists in the world who are living in despair and conflicts and wars”, he argued.
